My Students

We have a rug in the classroom. It is a rug with rainbow color. However, the spots for children to sit are too small.

I have 26 first graders in my classroom.

They come from different social economic groups. Students are attending a high poverty school. The first graders are very active, and they love to learn. They love our color rug, but they are not too comfortable sitting on it because of the limited space.

My Project

With my new rug, students will be concentrating on learning rather than the space they get on the rug. Since my students are very active, it would be wonderful to have enough space for them to move around during rug time. It will also increase students' awareness of personal space.

It is very important for our classroom to get a new rug with larger spots, so students can be more comfortable on the rug.

Students will be more concentrated during rug time. When students are more concentrated, they will enjoy learning even more!
