Smelly, stinky, rough, ragged, boring...all words that describe our current rug.
My little ones come to school each day ready and willing to learn, but when it comes to carpet time activities I dread the thought of them having to sit on our current rug.
They work so hard and deserve a better work environment. When they come to be with me each and everyday that is what I want to give them. Many of them come from homes that can offer them very little due to their financial situations, but when they are with me I want to give them everything that I possibly can to make them comfortable.
My Project
By donating to this project you will be giving my students a new rug that they can be proud of. One that will give them their own personal space. There will be no guessing as to who sits where and whether or not everyone is in their space or their neighbor's which will eliminate many behavioral issues and leave more time to focus on academics. And, with a new rug they will have something clean to sit on that doesn't stink. I, personally, dread the thought of having to sit on the carpet because I know when I get up I am going to stink, and the same goes for them.
It's time for something new, bright, vibrant, and clean for my little ones to sit on each day!
