it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with an amazing group of young men and women with special needs. To support their social-emotional well being and mental health, I am building a calming corner, where they can relax, read, or take a break. Our calming corner is a welcoming place, that students will want to complete their classwork in this area. Comfort is important, especially to students with special needs. I want them to be happy and healthy so that they can be at their best and learn. My classroom is a safe place for them to be themselves because they are loved and accepted for the unique individuals they are.
