This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine if you had the opportunity to create a magnificent work of art using acrylic paint on canvas, neither of which you have ever had the opportunity to use. You are so proud of your unique painting of Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer.

Then, you had the chance to make that art come alive with electricity.

You get to use a light bulb, switch, and battery to make a complete closed circuit. A hole will be drilled through the canvas board to allow the LED bulb to shine through the middle of Rudolph's nose.

Circuits are an essential learning standard in 5th-grade science. This project will allow students to truly see the importance of correctly wiring a circuit.
