This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are excited to be Super Star Kindergartners! We need age appropriate reading and writing materials to begin reading and writing on our own.

We are a title 1 'Welcoming School' in our city and we need some help.

As a result of school closings some of my students travel from across the city to get to our classroom. When they get here I want them to be ready to become great readers and writers. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete writing center and our library lacks rhyming books.

My Project

We love rhyming, yes we do! We love rhyming.... How about you donate to our project so we know what comes next? My students are the brightest stars in the universe! They know that their brains can grow by reading and writing. The books will help us become great rhymers. The writing center materials will help us begin writing phonetically with tactile materials (which is more fun for kindergartners). Studies have shown, over and over again, that great readers and writers become even better scientists and mathematicians. Help my students become successful in all subjects by donating to our project.

At the age of five and six years students should enjoy reading and writing.

However, some of my students have had such limited exposure to both that neither is enjoyable. Your generous donation would help my super stars begin to love reading and writing. Nothing makes students gain more confidence in themselves than being able to practice daily with age appropriate materials.
