My Project
I am asking for books like The Hundred Year Barn, How To Make Friends With a Ghost, and more from The Rooted In Reading List to share from September through December. These high quality picture books will be shared with students each week.
"Rooted in Reading" is a reading curriculum that is focused on enhancing Language Arts instruction, particularly through the use of read-alouds, for elementary students (K-3).
It emphasizes direct instruction, focusing on vocabulary, word work, fluency, comprehension, and reading skills, with an initial Reading Inventory Assessment to identify areas for growth. The curriculum includes daily lesson plans, activities, and printables centered around carefully selected picture books, with a strong emphasis on interactive read-alouds to foster discussion and engagement.
