This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Between the pandemic and the job market, schools have lost a great deal of custodial support. At the end of the previous school year, while cleaning my classroom, I was shocked at the amount of mouse droppings behind furniture and in corners of the room. I think a great deal of this was left from food crumbs that ended up on the floor throughout the year.
A Roomba will help keep my room clean and healthy for students and teachers alike.
The hard reality is that rooms do not get vacuumed as often as they should. Having a Roomba for the classroom will help keep my room clean in light of our custodial shortage.
