My Project
The items I have included on this list will allow for our class to complete room transformations as we go through the different units of CKLA. Specifically, I have included items to go with our human body unit, animal classification unit, ancient Rome unit, and the light and sound unit. Students will get to become doctors for a day during the human body unit by using the men's t-shirts as lab coats, hair nets, and shoe coverings. This will make the students feel like they are real-life doctors as we work through labeling different parts of the human body. We will then reuse the men's t-shirts in the ancient Rome unit by turning them around to make togas. Students will get to dress like they are from ancient Rome as they explore and learn about chariot races in the Circus Maxima. They will use the plastic animal figures to classify different animals and make habitats for their plastic anumal in the animal classification unit. Lastly, during the light and sound unit, we will have a glow party with the black lights, glow sticks, and glow in the dark supplies. All of these items will help encourage students that learning can be fun and they will make our classroom an engaging place to be!
