Help me give my students the space that they need to learn. A table like this gives my students the opportunity to learn together in small groups while being able to access all of the necessary materials.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Haynes's classroom raised $510

My Students
My classroom has students with Autism, Multiple Disabilities (MU), and Moderate Intellectual Disabilities.
No two students are alike.
My students are very smart and each of them illustrate their abilities in unique ways. Some students are non-verbal and need alternative means by which to communicate. Where most of us use words daily to communicate, many of my students use pictures and assistive technology devices in order to speak, communicate their wants and needs, and make choices during academic work. I love that my students are always trying to communicate, work hard, and do their very best.
My Project
This table will allow for the creative thoughts of our students to come to fruition by being able to work along side their classmates and teachers during our small group and individual work time. It seems simple, but by getting away from their individual desks, each student can learn in a comfortable and spacious area that doesn't limit their access to materials or the ability to collaborate with other classmates in a learning area.
Each student deserves space to learn, to communicate, and to grow as a student and individual.
The large area of this table allows not only for a variety of supplies, but also room to explore different avenues of learning. One student may learn visually, while another may learn by touch. And another student may learn by sound. Each student is unique and needs to have the tools around him or her to flourish and succeed. This table will help to provide what my students need.
