Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of my students bring unique strengths and needs, and my goal is to ensure every child has full access to learning, friendship, and fun. By making our classroom more physically inclusive and sensory-friendly, we can help all students feel welcomed, valued, and capable. This project will support young learners who use a wheelchair by providing tools such as Wheelchair Accessible Adjustable Height Desk and Drive Medical Seat2Go and classroom adaptations that increase mobility, access, and inclusion in all parts of our learning environment.

We’re aiming to provide an adjustable, accessible desk.

A desk that adjusts in height and allows for free movement of a wheelchair, so the student can participate in table activities alongside peers.
