My Project
Sphero Minis are a great resource to help upper elementary and middle school students problem solve, apply math standards, learn to code, and work cooperatively towards a goal. These robots are able to be programmed with block-based coding for beginners and JavaScript after students learn the basics.
Hands-on materials like these robots provide lasting learning experiences that help kids grow.
These robots will be used throughout the year for grades four through eight. They are durable and versatile enough to support the mathematics and technology curriculum through multiple grades. Technology resources for kids are expensive and often don't last. These have a great track record and stand up to kids' use. Our school is in one of the more disadvantaged districts in the state. My students are always excited and eager to learn. Giving them the resources that other districts have helps to close the gap.
