This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Here in the library, it's a big day when a class returns their books. Each morning, student volunteers gather the class books into large tubs and haul them to the library. But books get heavy! And the large, awkward tubs we've been using aren't ideal for the task.
Rolling wagons will make it easier (and fun) for students to return their library books!
We are looking to get five collapsible wagons that can be stored in the library and used on book return days. Pulling a wagon will be far easier on our students than trying to struggle with the hard tubs that hurt their hands. Plus, we're excited about the idea of naming and decorating these carts! (The Internet has so many ideas, but we're going to ask students what they think.) With these new wagons, we're hoping to save our students' fingers and hands, and make book return days a pleasure!
