Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We’re hoping to add a colorful, comfy rug to our classroom — a special spot where stories come alive, young minds gather, and big ideas begin. A great rug isn’t just soft under our feet — it’s the heart of our learning circle, morning meetings, and read-aloud adventures. My students love coming to class because of the ambience I’ve created. Our students come to school carrying more than backpacks — they carry worries far beyond their years. In our classroom, we work to make school a place where they can breathe, laugh, and just be kids again. I want school and our classroom to be a safe space and something they can be proud of. This is the piece we need to complete it.
