Roll and Read Throughout the Summer

My Project

I am fortunate to be the coordinator for an amazing summer reading program that offers families in our community to have readily available access to books throughout the course of the summer. We drive around our community in a big green bus that has been transformed into a traveling library. Members of the community are able to get on at each stop and check out books each week. The hope would be that books are returned from week to week to get new ones but if the books is well loved at home, there are no fees attached. Books can be returned each week or at schools within our district throughout the course of the school year. As we have begun our summer journey, I have found a few spots where there is a need for more books so I have created a shopping cart full of books that our community could enjoy.
