Help me give my students biographies at their reading levels. In this request there is a set of non fiction biographies that will be used for a shared research project.

My Students

I have 29 first and second graders students in a middle class school. We are a suburban school with an active community of parents and teachers. We are culturally diverse, with about 25% of our kids speaking English as a second language. We are economically diverse, as well, which can create its own challenges.

My students love learning and are ready to take on the world!

Each one brings a wonderful asset to not only our classroom but our school community as well. They try hard every day to be the best version of themselves. My students are grateful for DonorsChoose.org, as it has brought new aspects to learning. Our parents are helpful, supportive, and involved in all areas of education.

My Project

I am asking for a series of biographies that are written at my students' reading level. These texts give my students invitations to read about people from all over the world. These are people my students have heard about and are inspired by. I want to give them access to people who have made a difference in our world, and show them that they are capable of doing the same thing.

My students love to read, and nonfiction text is just what they need!

I am also asking for two sets of books my students are interested in reading/listening to for our class library.
