My students would love to make our science unit even more hands-on with some real life artifacts that they can explore and keep.
These materials would enhance our science unit by adding a study further into fossils, rocks, and minerals.
Students will dig for fossils as they learn about the layers of our earth. They will explore and sort rocks and minerals while they learn about the rock cycle. They will smash geodes as they learn about weathering, erosion and deposition. All these artifacts will be theirs to keep. This will provide a great outlet to share their learning with their family and friends at home.
