My Students

My students walk in daily, eager to learn. They are creative, positive, and full of a love for learning. We are a school with a STEAM initiative with a focus on agriculture. The students work in collaborative groups on various STEAM focused projects and activities. Our school wide design thinking process helps the students to develop a plan to solve hands-on activities and challenges. The students use critical thinking skills through project-based learning to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts being taught. My classroom has 21 amazing students.

My Project

The materials for this project will provide a fun and engaging learning experience for students when learning about fossils. The students will explore Identifying fossils and learn how paleontologist study and excavate fossils. This hands on project will give the students a deeper understanding of how fossils are formed and what the environment was like in areas they are found in.

The students will apply what they have learned about fossils in a real life hands on project.

To demonstrate their understanding, students will create their own fossil and explain the process in which it was formed.
