My Students
Help us save paper! We love to write and draw, but what a waste it is for our paper. We need white boards to use to draw, write, and provide examples to our teachers.
I teach a group of 22 kindergarten students that are eager to learn.
Each student is ready to take on the world, it seems! Our school is in a high poverty area, so the help many are receiving at home is the only help they receive. It breaks my heart, because many students are ready to learn, but do not have the guidance they need. It is my job as their teacher to teach them, and allow them to have as much practice as possible.
My Project
We have a few white boards already in our classroom, unfortunately we do not have enough. It is hard to teach numbers and letters to the students, when they cannot practice as much as they would like. These white boards will provide them material to practice not only writing the numbers, but visually seeing a sight word or an addition problem. It will allow them to gain confidence in themselves, because they will be able to see they CAN do it!
White boards are the most diverse material a classroom can have.
Students can use these white boards in several ways. They can use them across several subjects. It is important for my students to use them to help reach their potential each student possesses.
