This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty-stricken​ community.

Our school consists of a very large English language learner population.

All of our students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for the next level of life.

I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it.

These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication, and knowledge.

My Project

For our class, 2021 is about creating more of a student centered classroom. For me that means, asking what my students need, and making their vision our reality!

Let students create the environment they want to work in for 8 hours a day!

Do you remember having a teacher that would read to you in a rocking chair? I was lucky enough to and even remember the work! With these items, it'll give students that magical experience we had decades ago! In our classroom, we read daily and having that special chair, clock, and game would just add the magic the students experience every day!
