This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Story time is the best time of day! Both my students and I love our learning time around a good book. We use the time for social emotional learning, like in the Feelings Ninja Books. To practice some of the skills we have learned in reading and writing workshop as in 'A Letter to Your Teacher" and how to deal with uncomfortable situations shown in "Who Wet My Pants" and "The Girl Who Wouldn't Brush Her Hair". Students learn to read naturally by listening to read alouds. It also gives them the chance to sit back and relax.
