My students are amazing. They are constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to create projects. Students work in groups to complete projects and rotate supervisor positions to help manage their individual skills. They use the engineering design process for all of their projects.
My students are eager to explore the world and technologies in the classroom.
In my classroom, my students live by the quote, "Design. Build. Transform." We are always looking for new and innovative ways to explore technology and the world around us.
I teach middle school Technology Education to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We are a public school. There are approximately 120 students in each grade level. Technology Education classes are required for all grades. We also offer two elective classes for 7th and 8th grade students.
My Project
The students will use the Sphero to explore and learn robotic coding. The Sphero is operated using the iPad. With these they will be able to apply coding and engineering skills. The iPad will also be used for the students to make movies of their projects.
Colored pencils and sharpeners will be used by students in their engineering notebooks. The pointer will be used for when presenting and during lecture times to improve instruction and be more time effective.
This project will make a difference to my classroom because it will allow the students to explore new and improved technologies.
We are working hard to update our classroom and materials.
