This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are so eager to become fluent readers. Providing them with the best possible choices for their daily independent reading will make all the difference. Meeting my students where they are has proved to be a challenge with the materials that are readily available for them. I want to offer them good choices.
Having these types of books will also allow for whole group instruction to be easily modeled in addition to giving them the freedom to grow as readers during our daily reading block and reading on their own at home.
