My Students
"Why are we here?" is what I always ask my third grade students every day. They always answer with a resounding, "To do our best and learn something new!" as they enter my class with smiles on their tiny faces.
Our elementary school has a high number of students who are high-poverty, first-generation immigrants from Haiti.
Even though we have to cater to and adapt to such a diverse range of learning needs, we strongly believe that all children will learn if given the right tools and technology. As their third grade teacher, my main objective is to enhance and improve their young learning experiences, especially when it pertains to their learning environment.
My Project
It takes a passionate community to empower passionate scientists and inventors. Although it may not seem significant, research states that exploration is the most effective way to generate and inspire the thinkers of the future, especially when it comes to the sciences!
Please consider helping our 3rd-grade STEAM students have more access to the science supplies and materials included in this science kit that facilitates up to 20 students per experiment.
This is more than science supplies. These are the tools that many kids need to start making easy prototypes for them to visualize their own and their partners' ideas. Many young engineers need this step before they can imagine what they need to do with more complex science activities. It doesn't sound like much, but these supplies will help many students form their ideas so they can build the most elaborate and amazing science projects.
The Elementary Science Olympiad Classroom Kit would allow us to conduct experiments and create science projects as a class/group.
