My Students
Our GT classrooms are a place of challenge and discovery! The students spend the year working at their personal academic level and have a growth mindset based on their personal goals. Students come from all around the county for this brand-new gifted program with the expectation that their learning will be individualized and engaging. The students like to move, read, experiment and like to explore new ideas and concepts.
We are hopeful to inspire our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
Just about all of my students are interested in robots! My students love to explore their passions, research and learn new things! What better way to engage the students in their learning than to provide them with a hands-on robotics experience?
By being able to create a variety of robots, from start to finish, the students will have a unique opportunity to fully understand the basic concepts of robotics.
This includes STEM concepts: science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The VEX robotics kits allows the students to use step-by-step directions to create the robots, then move them using the versatile controller. Before we know it, the students will be driving the robots all over the school!
