Help me give my students their very own soprano recorder to perform with!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Pearson's classroom raised $800

My Project
Students in elementary school spend years learning how to read rhythms and pitches. While some of these skills can easily be mastered on percussion instruments, recorders allow students their only opportunity as an elementary school student to play a wind instrument.
Playing recorder not only reinforces note and rhythm reading skills, but it also encourages independent practice and ownership of learning.
I have had students take their recorder home and use YouTube to teach themselves the pop songs they spend hours listening to just for fun!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
