My Project
I would love to see my Life-Skills students have positive social interactions with each other. It is important to teach our young kings and queens just how influential African American people have been throughout history, and exactly what they went through to have their voices heard. Our diversity is what makes our school beautifully unique. This Black History Month, ALL students need to learn about the influence of the African Diaspora on the world! Black History is an essential part of American History!
These dashikis will help students celebrate Black History and spread community awareness, foster an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, as well as allow our students to truly engage in meaningful conversations about the influence of Black History on America.
Help us provide Black History Month Dashikis to many students who may not otherwise be able to afford to show their cultural pride and inevitably create a greater sense of community at our school!
