Rocketry Club @ CHS

Help me give my students the materials necessary to form a rocketry club at CHS! These items would provide students with the basic materials necessary to safely build and launch model rockets.

My Project

The materials requested will be used to form a rocketry club at CHS next school year. Additionally, rocketry easily augments the existing physics curriculum allowing increased exposure to a wider student audience. Exposing students to multi-step engineering and scientific processes in an safe, fun, and inquisitive way is important for students to see science in action!

These materials provide a starting point to build and launch increasingly complex model designs and, eventually, attempt DIY and/or 3D printed rockets.

Rocketry reinforces scientific & engineering practices, collaboration, and exploration. Rocketry allows students freedom to personalize their rockets and enter into rocket competitions as their designs become more nuanced and advanced.
