My students enjoy everything related to the topic of Space. The majority of these children may never get an opportunity to visit a space center or view a rocket launch, yet crave experiences related to this fascinating topic. My goal is to enhance the current space-related activities, during STEAM class, to include goal setting, physical exercise, scientific exploration, as well as developing social-emotional skills.
Students will work independently and collaborate with peers while conducting a variety of rocket launches.
We will use the requested items and learning guides to perform rocket flight experiments. Next, my students will use recycled materials to construct a personalized spacecraft, articulate their desired launch outcomes and blast their creation into space! These young aspiring aerospace engineers will set goals and work towards attaining their goals while gaining a better insight into the physics of motion and aerodynamics.
