Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited about Science and would love to complete more hands on experiences but we lack resources. We are in a low income district and do not have enough money to support the materials needed to produce hands on experiments that they deserve.

My students are in the 6th grade special education Science program .

They are super excited about learning new things in Science especially if we can do an experiment! Our school is in a very low income district and we do not have the funds to support learning like others do. But we have passion and heart! We are a class full of exciting learners and would greatly appreciate any support you can show us!

My Project

With the rocket experiment my students will be learning all three of Newton's Laws, which can be a hard topic for them to absorb without doing it hands on. They will create and build their own rocket and take all steps necessary to get their rocket in flight. They will also use their mathematical skills in this project by calculating force=mass x volume. Newton's Three Laws of motion is a topic that my students will benefit greatly from doing this experiment and connecting it to real life. Rockets: My students will be able to create their own rocket and personally decorate it. They will be able to learn about Newtons Laws: Every action has a reaction by doing this hands on experiment. Launch set: the launch set will support the experiment in a safe manner . Rocket Igniter's: My students will use the igniter's to assemble energy into their rocket and observe force times acceleration calculations.

This project would change my students lives forever because they never get any chance to do things like other school that are more fortunate than us.

This project would be something that they would never forget. My students need all the support that they can get in all areas and as a teacher I am trying all that I can to give them the encouragement and support needed to succeed in learning. To all who support us, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
