My Students
My class consists of nearly 95% of scholars who are reading below grade level. Many of my students come from homes in which the parents are uneducated themselves.
Our school is a Title I school that offers free and reduced-price lunches to nearly 100% of our students.
School lunch is the only meal many of our students receive during the day. Our school is in a critical state. We are a part of the lowest 300 schools in terms of reading proficiency.
My Project
Having construction and bulletin board paper in my classroom would make a world of difference. Walls can go from being plain white to walls full of nicely designed educationally materials. We all know there are TONS of things that teachers are required to display in the classroom. Students need reference charts while learning. Classrooms that are designed with love and creativity bring joy and excitement to students. These materials would be used to create educational artifacts in the classroom. When there is a special touch put on a chart, students tend to remember the details and skills.
The excitement of learning is a precious a gift.
Students feed off how teachers present materials. Help me bring a creative touch in my classroom, by providing the materials I need. I can't wait to share artifacts that are created because of your generosity.
