it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students absolutely ROCK!! Their energy radiates love, and most of the time it is on par with mine ... but, sometimes too much of a good thing can cause angst. What better way to calm the mind and body than with art? Our class uses a variety of ways to create peace within ourselves, find gratitude in the little things, and be mindful with our breath. Painting stones would be a great reminder to be still in those moments.
Creating our own worry stones will help slow down time and remind us to enjoy the present moment in this ever-changing, fast-paced world.
After almost two years of online learning at home, we are reminded on a daily basis that so many are still dealing with the aftermath of the stress it caused. This project would help make things a little less stressful ... for everyone.
