Did you ever dream of playing guitar in a Rock Band?
My 5th grade students are interested in having a "Rock Guitar" class.
To do that we need a bass guitar. I also have two guitar clubs of 3-5th grade students that are eager to play an electric guitar and bass. My students will be participating in 3 week mini courses, one of which is "Rock Guitar".
My Project
Most of my students will never have the opportunity to take private music lessons. I am always looking for a way to challenge and ignite the imagination of my students. Guitar is one vehicle that I use for that. Our guitar class teaches guitar basics. Our "Rock Guitar" class will explore this in more depth looking at 50's rock and roll and cool chord progressions and strums.
Help me fire up a passion for music in my students by helping me offer them an opportunity to play and learn about the bass guitar.
They are always asking about playing an electric guitar and the bass would be a great place to start. Thank you for considering this project that would help my 5th grade students and my guitar students by making this resource available for them.
