Help me give my students materials for their rock and roll music unit! Students have expressed their interests in rock and roll music and have brought me many records for me to play. They need a record player!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is the first year students at this district will be receiving music instruction! Students will also be making the transition to in-person learning which will be both exciting and challenging.
The students at these schools come from a range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Many of them are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch and are in need of basic classroom supplies to excel at school.
I am a first-year first-generation Latinx music teacher who is excited to bring my passion for music to these students in a safe and inclusive environment. My students and I would greatly appreciate all the music resources that are added to our music classroom. Thank you so much for being a part of our music community.
My Project
Many students have expressed their interests in using their records from their home and play them on a record player. The only issue is that we do not have a record player or a speaker. I have tons of records given to me by my students and they would love a chance to play their records during this unit. We will be doing class presentations on different genres form early rock and roll. Will you please help our title one school students have access to these awesome tolls that will enhance their learning?
