Help me give my students the gift of musical expression. This project will give them a guitar to play with in class and strings to replace the broken/old strings they have on their guitars at home.

My Project
My project seeks to give students a smaller guitar to learn on in class. For many students, the full size guitars are too big, leading a student who otherwise might learn and enjoy guitar to become too quickly frustrated and give up. I have also ordered some guitar strings because many of my students have old guitars gathering dust at home. With your generous support, I will be able to encourage students to bring in their old guitars so I can oil their fretboards and put some new strings on their guitar.
I teach in a Safe School program; my students come to me because they were in trouble for weapons, assaults, and/or drug violations of our Safe School policy.
It is my hope that when my students leave my school, they will have a healthy form of self-expression through music.
