My Project
I am requesting these robots to help scaffold a lot of the engineering curriculum throughout the four years at C.V. High School even more. While many students enjoy building and designing cool projects and innovations, these robots offer a great entry point into robotics and coding in a fun and engaging way. Plus the robots are a physical product that the students can play and see how the coding is working on their device.
Our goal is to encourage and help all students of all backgrounds--male, female, black, hispanic, students with disabilities and language learners--develop confidence in programming and coding for engineering.
Plus these robots will increase passion and excitement for all the different types and fields of engineering they can potentially pursue.
Our students are a unique and diverse group that can all bring something special to the classroom. As our Engineering Pathway continues to grow, so do the students that enter our classrooms. The goal of engineering is to encourage students to think about technical problems and solutions greater than themselves and have fun while doing it. These robots will definitely help to ignite the creativity in all our students and show them that while engineering is hard work, it can be quite fun and rewarding. Many of our students also pursue different clubs and outreach organizations and these robots can even help them develop as student leaders to teach and encourage younger generation students to also think about STEAM and plethora of opportunities in front of them.
