Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My middle school STEM students are in a public online school in Brighton Colorado. I am teaching them automation and robotics virtually but they are missing the hands-on experience of building and coding a robot for themselves. These kits would give them the opportunity to learn about engineering, power, robotics, and coding in a way that they are currently unable to do.
My students are excited and engaged learning about coding and robotics but need their own building kits in order to complete their transformation into engineers!
We will make sure every student is able to take the robotics kit home and then build it as a class. They will not only learn about automation and mechanisms but also be able to look at solar power as a power source. Then they will code and create online videos and presentations of their experience building a robot for themselves.
