My Project

This is a year-long project for my K-5 graders attending technology class. Many of my students are first or second generation who have the opportunity to get their education. My school is a charter school serving low-income community. My goal is to motivate my students to attend the technology class. Students think that technology is all about using iPads, Chromebooks, and cell phones to watch movies and to play online video games. I want to correct their thinking and have them see and experience the various aspects of technology. I want them to think about their future careers to be engineers, scientists and mathematicians. I feel sorry for my kids to spend my technology class using their iPads (k-1) or their Chromebook (2-5) for limited school apps. I need them to think outside the box and be a better technology learners. Thank you in advance for helping me achieve my educational goals as a technology teacher!
