About My Students

My students love to learn new concepts in fun new ways! They are energetic and always love a good challenge. Our school is focused on movement while learning STEM concepts, and designing lessons that involve rigor and that are challenging. My students love the challenge.

My students wanted to not only learn coding by creating a website, but they also wanted to use robots too. Several of my students are a part of our school's Robotics Club and they suggested using robots to code to make them move. After doing some research, I found the Ozobot Bit.

My students will work in teams of two and work with the Ozobot Robots to help introduce the basic tools and techniques of coding to them. They will use their own creativity and unique codings to code the robot to do what they want it to do. The students will learn how to code and control the robot. They will be able to use the coding skills that they learn to code the robot to move in the unique ways. With these robots, they will be excited and have so much fun learning how to code! Computer science is the future and these students are our future leaders, teachers, doctors, programmers, and so much more! With these skills they will be excited about helping our ever changing world!

In Their Own Words

My goal is to learn how to code in order that I can make a robot move. I think robots are already fascinating, so now I can get a glimpse of how they work and are made to move. I enjoy creating websites using coding, but I would love to play around with a robot.

As a leader, I will do my best to help my team make our robot move. This will take learning the codes and teamwork. I will be required every class to show our team's results, so I will make sure I work hard.

This project is important because it will give us insight into careers that use computer programming, math, and technology. I love technology. I would love to show my parents that I know how to create a website through coding but also that I can control a robot through coding.
