Help me give my students the ability to engineer, build, and create robotic devices while learning about the principles of engineering and physics.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students receive more career certifications at the local trade college than any other school. They are eager to learn and then join the world as productive members of society.
Our school's vision statement of "As we build on traditions of the past, we expect and accept nothing but the best" says it all.
We have a beautiful mountain range and a history that is unique to the state and it sets the backdrop for us each day. Our students have many life-altering challenges to go through but continue to push through. Our student population is one of the most impacted populations in our state. With a very high level of students participating in the free or reduced price lunch program, there can be many challenges to learning that many other students don't even have to consider.
But we have an outstanding faculty, administration, and support staff that work tirelessly to help our students succeed and do their best. We embrace our vision and embrace growth in Academics, Citizenship, and Extra-Curricular Activities.
My Project
I am requesting two Vex V5 Robotic kits which will allow students to engineer, code, and create a machine that they can adapt and improve upon. After building the robots, our classes will adapt and repurpose them to solve other engineering problems. Students will test their skills in competition against other schools and continually find ways to improve in their designs and abilities.
This project is going to help prepare my students for the jobs that don't yet exist.
My students will be able to gain real life skills that are directly transferable to the workplace. They will learn about gear ratios and mechanical advantage, coding, physics, and creativity to help them solve problems and questions in their future careers.
