My students need robotic Rovers to program and interact with. These Rovers will interface with the classroom Nspire handhelds for programming.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have come into high school behind grade level. But these students are not quitters. We have a strong culture of achievement, and encourage all students to prepare for and apply to college.
Were you to walk down the halls of my school, you might think you are in the United Nations.
We have students from five continents (and more than that number of islands) representing a diverse array of languages and cultures. My students are a mix of new immigrants and native born Americans. All of them want to succeed.
My Project
I have been teaching coding to my students. I would like to add additional equipment, a robotic Rover from Texas Instruments to the mix. The students will be able to command the Rover, and they will directly see the result of their coding attempts. As a pilot program, I'm asking for just two Rovers.
I try to make sure a lack of opportunity won't hold my students back.
As much as possible, I try to introduce technology and real-world situations to their studies. By funding this project, providing robotic Rovers, you will help my students get ready for the world.
