Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are incredibly diverse in terms of their talents, special skills, and abilities. They continue to show up everyday ready to learn and grow as scholars. We are beginning to explore what it means to have a growth mindset, and they continue to amaze me with their ability to persevere.

My Project

Over the summer, I participated in the Pathfinders Summer Institute. At this professional development, I learned helpful skills about coding, robotics, and computer science to bring into my students.

Receiving the funding for the Dash robots will allow my students to explore their special interests through computer science, robotics, and coding!

They will practice 21st century literacy skills needed to succeed in today's world. I would love to integrate computer science into all of the subjects I teach as much as possible. Having more Dash robots in the classroom will help me do so.
