This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am thankful to have taught such an inspiring group of 4th grade students this year. They are energetic, appreciative, and willing to work hard to learn new things and develop as young scholars. My students' enthusiasm, creativity, and voice in their work was so inspiring, I am excited to create the same type of deep thinking scientists in my new class.

I want to inspire and encourage my 4th grade magnet students to further develop confidence in all they do; in written and spoken word, in growing and strengthening their work ethic, as well as in developing a healthy and active lifestyle.

We are a learning community within a Title 1 school in a low-income area. Our school is on a free breakfast and lunch program. Students are willing and able to step up with confidence, to challenges, despite their own.

My Project

Envision students' faces as they create movement with basic code! How inspirational to explore computer science through a mobile robot that does what you have told it to.

Who wouldn't want to learn Robot Language to guide a kid friendly robot through puzzles and tasks!

I am thrilled as I imagine the career interests this activity might lead to in my students' future. They will be more comfortable and knowledgeable about computer coding content. It is the beginning of an interesting educational path that our next generation is able to explore much sooner than the generations of the past. Lets make learning unique and fun.
