This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is made up of 32 low-income students, 16 girls and 16 boys. I have 19 English Language Learners who need Total Physical Response and other visual, and or auditory scaffolds to increase their English language development. The rest of my students are reclassified English learners. As a 1 to 1 iPad school, the students have become literate in utilizing multiple applications like iMovie, and Keynote. They are enthusiastic and highly motivated by technology, which is enhancing their learning tremendously.

My Project

In our school only a limited amount of students are selected to be in after school robotics. My class has done a lot of coding through hour of code, scratch and google. In order to enhance my STEAM instruction I want to incorporate robotics through the use of Ozobot robots.

By using Ozobot bit coding robots students will experience tangible use of coding.

We will be able to create passage ways, diverse settings and quests for our robot to complete. We will incorporate math and science in our quests to challenge all the students to illustrate how coding is used in our lives.
