My Students
Ever met a kid who loved taking things apart? We have a whole group of them! This Robotics Club will forge a bridge between the grade levels to allow curiosity to grow into so much more.
Our students are ambitious!
The culture of the school holds character and academics on the highest levels and our students prove they can reach them time after time. The students of T. H. Rogers manage various activities to ensure they are well rounded and ready for anything. What I love most is that they are still kids who love having fun!
My Project
This start up of elementary robotics will create a pipeline of experienced members to our middle school competition team. The LEGO Mindstorm EV3 is the perfect tool to train critical thinking and spark curiosity with in the group as they work together to complete teacher given challenges. Our students are in a world where early exposure is a must. With these kits we will be able to jump start the 4th graders into STEM culture. They will also continue the depth of critical thinking and creativity of the 5th graders. Lastly, students will prepare with intensity and drive needed for upcoming competitions.
This project is needed to get the kids hands "dirty".
With the kits our students will get first hand experience into what it takes to build, program, and compete. This club will lay a solid foundation in to a soon to be STEM filled world!
