My Students
I hear they are amazing. Multicultural, multiethnic, multilingual and multi-talented. Multifaceted, multilevel, and just so you know, multitudinous. These students are also learning at a dual language immersion school. The greater their opportunities for literacy the greater their experience will be.
My Project
Good books encourage students to become good readers. Students need guaranteed access to proven titles to not only have books that interest them, but stories they will be willing share with each other and friends they have not met yet. Books can stay in the classroom, and occasionally go home. What is most important is that books are available and present in the classroom and the essential reads Scholastic book set, as well as the wonder of the Caldecott winners list will go a long way toward meeting this goal.
