This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are culturally diverse and have multiple intelligences that they bring to our learning environment. They are bright and bring their best every day.

Every student contributes their own personal experiences, interests, and talents that enliven our daily learning experiences.

There is never a dull moment in the classroom. My students share funny stories and love to laugh and learn. Many students are reading above grade level and others are in love with Math and Science. I even have some young budding artist. They are unique and special!

I love the way my students come to school ready to learn each day. They are eager to start the day. I have a classroom full of leaders. I am lucky to be a classroom teacher with them each day.

My Project

3rd grade represents a milestone year in your child’s academic life. This school year marks the decisive point at which your child transitions from “learning to read” to “reading to learn”. Children who have not become proficient readers will start to fall behind and without the help of parents and teachers, may stay behind. They need a variety of books. They read from a variety of genres - plays, magazine articles, poems, history as well as chapter books and nonfiction reading. 3rd grade children are independent learners, they read instructions and begin activities on their own.
