Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are underrepresented middle school children that enjoy conversations, collaboration, and the chance to prove that they are not the statistic given to them by society.
My middle school children are driven, want to learn, and want to be given the chance of achieving more than what many of their parents were not able to accomplish.
My students deserve an environment where they will thrive as individuals and as a community of learners and feel proud to belong at school!
My Project
I have a group of students whose families have chosen to stay remote for the remainder of the year. I know that this year has been challenging to say the least, and I feel extremely proud of my kids for pushing through. I want to be able to reward them by providing some incentives and delivering some small prizes to say I am proud of you and so should you!! Regardless of the circumstances, my students keep pushing to learn, by being active participants, and for being middle schoolers that is a challenge within itself. I want to let them know that I SEE them and FEEL their rise to the challenges of this crazy but memorable year.
