Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every day, before starting our class, my students and I have a morning meeting. This meeting consists of four essential parts: greeting each other, sharing ideas, feelings, and experiences, carrying out a group activity, and reading a message that I prepare for my students each day to help prepare them for the day ahead. This part of our routine is crucial for building emotional connections between students and the teacher. Through each activity, the students get to know each other better, and we strengthen our bonds as the school family that we are. A new rug would undoubtedly benefit my students by providing a more comfortable space, allowing them to choose a spot more easily, and, of course, helping them enjoy each of our morning meetings even more.
