My Students

"Every morning starts a new page in your story. Make it a great one today"-Doe Zantamata. Morning meeting time is our first opportunity to write a new page in our daily story.

My students are all non-verbal and use most of them use a wheelchair for mobility.

My students do not their disability define them. They have learned to overcome obstacles that most people will never have to face. Most of my students have medical complications but they do not let those complications get in the way of learning.

My Project

My students need hands-on materials for our morning meeting such as colored scarves/ribbons, moods and emotions mirrors, and musical instruments. Our morning meeting time is the best time to get my students energized and ready for the day. They need these new fun and engaging materials to help wake them up and to sustain their attention. They love to listen to music and play musical instruments. Since several of my students have visual impairments, they love bright colors and the light from the Smart board.

The morning meeting materials will help my class by energizing and engaging them first thing in the morning so that they will be awake and alert for center time when we are finished.
