This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My young students are learning in an annex building without a playground for outdoor recess, no library, and insufficient technology. Yet, when they come to my classroom every year, they smile. Our class is diverse and beautiful. I strive to help families and students grow and learn in my classroom. I have a strong home-school connection with my families, which was so important during the COVID pandemic. I love teaching! I love my students and families!
I would love to provide parents with tool kits for their child at home.
Many of the families in our schools are struggling because of the pandemic. They are just starting to get back to work and back on their feet. It hasn't been easy for the families of our school. Our school provided technology for our students so that they could continue their education remotely. It wasn't easy for any of us but we made it through. We faced the challenges together. I love the school community that I work for and want to support them in any way that I can. Please help me make the 2020-2021 school year a great one! God bless you!
My Project
The journals and sight word books will be used to help engage students while learning sight words. The journals and sight word books will encourage students to write independently. These books will be used in school and sent home for homework to bridge their learning from the classroom to the home front.
The magnetic boards are tools used for Phonics and Math.
They will be used every day. The paper supplies, page protectors, rings, and dry erase markers will be used for individual Reading, Writing, and Math tools and charts.
